Latchkey

We offer a safe environment for children before and after school. Each program has a variety of activities, toys, and games to be used by the children. Latchkey Programs are open Monday through Friday following the District calendar for Lakeview Public Schools for days children attend in-person learning.

Y5-8th Grade Latchkey Before and after school care students enrolled in grade K-8. Before school care is open from 6:30am until school begins; after school care is open from the end of the school day until 6:00pm.

Preschool Latchkey Before and after school care for students enrolled in Lakeview Public Schools Full Day Tuition Preschool and Full Day GSRP programs.

Latchkey Contract requests are pending approval by the Latchkey office. You will be charged a $50 non-refundable registration fee upon approval of your child's Latchkey Contract. Note: If your child is registered for FULL DAY Tuition Preschool and needs to utilized before/after care, the $50 registration fee covers both Tuition Preschool and Preschool Latchkey

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO FAMILIES: ALL previous balances with the district must be paid before registering your child in preschool/latchkey for the 2024-25 school year. If your family has a past due balance with our district, you will be placed on our waitlist until payment is complete. Please take care of this right away as space is limited within our programs.

Y5-8th Grade Latchkey Latchkey Registration for Y5-8th grade students is an online process. When you register, you will be required to submit your requested schedule for the entire school year (with an opportunity to switch your schedule ONE time if needed, mid-year as space allows). Due to staffing, spots are limited at each location. Please read our Latchkey Handbook BEFORE registering for Latchkey so that you are aware of ALL Scheduling and Billing policies that you are agreeing to prior to registering. Please note, if your contract is pending you are NOT enrolled into Latchkey. If you receive an email that your contract was accepted, then they have secured a spot with us. Waitlisted families contracts will remain "pending" until space is available.
